Cl 500 Mercedes 2009
This 2009 Mercedes-Benz CL500 is a very smart example of the marque's luxurious grand-touring coupe, which is presented with low mileage. Under the bonnet sits the 302bhp 5.5-litre V8 engine, coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 26,738 miles from new.
First registered in January 2009, this CL500 has been in the hands of its current keeper for four months. It is finished in the smart Iridium Silver hue, with a black leather interior. A previous owner has swapped the badging to incorporate 'CL63' and 'AMG' motifs, so the next owner may wish to revert that back to the correct factory items. A sports exhaust has also been fitted, though the original part is included.
This CL500's elegant bodywork is in excellent shape, with flush shut lines, smooth panels and no suggestion of any previous damage. The Iridium Silver paintwork is believed to be original, and as you might expect of a car with such low mileage, age-related stone chips are minimal. One or two very small marks can be seen around the spot lamps beneath the front grille, though these are only noticeable under close inspection. The vehicle rides on a set of 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which have a few kerb scuffs but could easily be refurbished.
Inside, the black leather upholstery is in very good condition, with slight wear to the outer driver's bolster from entering and exiting the car, but few other signs of age or use. The leather-clad dashboard and centre console are both in great shape, and their walnut burr inlays are free of any noticeable blemishes. The car is equipped with heated massage seats, satellite navigation and the Distronic Plus cruise control system, and all of the electrics are believed to work as they should.
The last routine maintenance was undertaken in April 2021 at 26,600 miles, where technicians at Brad's Garage in Aberfeldy carried out an engine oil change service. Prior to this, Mercedes-Benz of Guildford carried out similar routine servicing in February of 2020 and 2018.
The most recent MOT test was on 8 July 2020 at 25,567 miles, which resulted in a pass with two advisories to monitor slight wear on both the tread area and sidewall of the nearside front tyre. Accompanying the vehicle are the original handbooks and service book, alongside the factory exhaust.
This Mercedes-Benz CL500 is a luxurious grand tourer, with an aftermarket sports exhaust to enhance its engine note, and benefiting from a cosseting and well-equipped interior. A rare low-mileage example, this CL500 would make a sublime long-distance cruiser or even a sophisticated daily driver.
